PERRY HALL - The 22-acre former Bierman farm and Perry Hall Community Hall site on Gerst Road will soon become a new public park, according to Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.
“I am committed to expanding our park system in White Marsh and Middle River,” Marks said. “Parks not only preserve green space that is critical for wildlife and free from development. Parks also form much of the foundation for our local recreation and parks programs.”
In April, the county will begin work on the new park. Plans call for asbestos abatement, demolition of structures, and backfill and grading throughout April, weather permitting.
Marks said there are no definite plans for the park site, but a committee established in 2022 recommended relatively light uses.
“I would like to thank these partners, the Perry Hall Improvement Association, and especially the Bierman family, which decided to help preserve this property as a legacy,” Marks added.
...still safer than just walking around in Baltimore....
Patchy rain possible, with a high of 76 and low of 55 degrees. Sunny in the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon, clear overnight.
Why are these parks and trails not clean or broken down, Johnny? Is it the clients you are bringing to this community? When you ‘give’ things to people that haven’t worked hard for something, there is no pride in the upkeep.
Where was Johnny Cliche? See Johnny, it’s about determination and resilience. That’s what makes you successful. Johnny would have talked about diversity, equity, and entitlement. It’s about hard work, Johnny.
