PERRY HALL - Joppa View Elementary School in Perry Hall has received a long-awaited new digital sign. The school's PTA President, Mandi Holtzner, announced the news on Wednesday.
"The project has been in process for six years and would not have been possible without the assistance of the Joppa View PTA, Councilman David Marks, Perry Hall Station, former Joppa View Principal Kevin Jennings, the current Joppa View administration, and community members. We hope the sign will provide the community with current events taking place at Joppa View," Holtzner said.
Fifth District Board Member Julie Henn added that school marquee signs enhance school identity and spirit, and help engage the community in local events.
"A school's sign creates a first impression; we want visitors to feel welcome and connected. Modern digital signs capture attention and are easy to maintain with the latest updates - keeping community members informed," Henn said.
"Smaller projects can greatly enhance the overall appearance of a school and encourage other improvements in the surrounding community. It's an investment that benefits everyone. I'm pleased to have been able to help and appreciate the PTA's efforts," Councilman David Marks added.
...still safer than just walking around in Baltimore....

Why are these parks and trails not clean or broken down, Johnny? Is it the clients you are bringing to this community? When you ‘give’ things to people that haven’t worked hard for something, there is no pride in the upkeep.
Where was Johnny Cliche? See Johnny, it’s about determination and resilience. That’s what makes you successful. Johnny would have talked about diversity, equity, and entitlement. It’s about hard work, Johnny.
