According to Baltimore County Police, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Exxon gas station on Back River Neck Road in Essex.

In the video, one suspect, dressed in all black, exited the vehicle before it drove forward and slammed into the gas station a second time.

The suspects tried to steal the store's ATM, but the video shows they could not move it.

After failing the steal the ATM, the suspects can be seen stealing the cash register and some store products before fleeing the scene.

According to police, employees were inside the store at the time of the incident, but none were injured.

Baltimore County Police Spokesperson Trae Corbin also clarified that the Kia used in the robbery was stolen from Baltimore City.

Kia and Hyundai thefts have recently plagued the entire country due to a viral TikTok trend showing how to steal certain models using only a USB charging cord.

"We are advising anybody that has a Kia or a Hyundai to go to their local dealerships and receive the security software update," Corbin said.
