BALTIMORE COUNTY - At least one person was injured on Wednesday after a CSX freight train collided with two tractor-trailers in Rosedale.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash involving a train near 68th Street and Lake Drive around 2:19 p.m. on Wednesday.
The driver of one of the tractor-trailers was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at the same spot where a train hit a truck and caused an explosion ten years ago.
WBALTV's Sky Team 11 captured photos of the crash.
The collision prompted authorities to close the nearby tracks. Hazmat crews also responded to the scene, authorities said.
It's unclear what led to the collision or why the tractor-trailers were on the tracks.
CSX released the following statement to CBS Baltimore:
"CSX staff are on scene and cooperating with the local police, who are investigating the incident. CSX appreciates the swift response by local emergency personnel," the statement read. "At CSX, safety is our highest priority in the communities we serve. We remind the public to always practice safe behavior when approaching highway-rail grade crossings and that any activity on or near a rail line can be dangerous."
No other details were immediately available.
...still safer than just walking around in Baltimore....

Why are these parks and trails not clean or broken down, Johnny? Is it the clients you are bringing to this community? When you ‘give’ things to people that haven’t worked hard for something, there is no pride in the upkeep.
Where was Johnny Cliche? See Johnny, it’s about determination and resilience. That’s what makes you successful. Johnny would have talked about diversity, equity, and entitlement. It’s about hard work, Johnny.
