BALTIMORE COUNTY - Dion Brown, a UMBC college freshman and basketball player, has signed his first Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreement with Sorrento of Arbutus, a pizza and sub restaurant.

Harold Xecominos, owner of Sorrento of Arbutus, said the restaurant is thrilled to partner with an up-and-coming local basketball player.

“We see the students from UMBC in the restaurant daily, and having the opportunity to impact one of their lives in such a positive way is the next step in strengthening the relationship between the community and UMBC. We are thrilled to be working with Dion,” Xecominos said.

Dion’s agreement includes promoting and raising funds for a charity of his choice, social media campaigns, and in-house promotions.

This partnership is a great opportunity for me; I am eager to promote Sorrento of Arbutus. This restaurant is more than great food and service but also a place that means a lot to the community,” Brown said.
