18-Year-Old Faces Multiple Charges In Connection To Hotel Shooting

BALTIMORE COUNTY - 18-year-old Jose Diaz-Contrenas faces multiple charges concerning the triple-shooting at a Baltimore County Hotel on Monday.

According to police, officers responded to the 5800 block of Baltimore National Pike around 3 a.m. on Monday for reports of a shooting.

Once on the scene, officers found Javier Argueta and two other victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Argueta was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Diaz-Contrenas faces charges of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.

The incident remains under investigation, and police have not yet provided a motive for the shooting.
