PERRY HALL - On Saturday, a Nepalese cyclist, Ajit Baral, paid a visit to Honeygo Park in Perry Hall as part of his ongoing 5,000-mile bicycle expedition.

At the age of 23, Baral was struck by a spinal cord disorder that left him paralyzed. Following an intense course of physical rehabilitation, he made remarkable progress in his recovery, which inspired him to undertake this cycling journey to share his life-affirming story of overcoming adversity.

Currently, Baral is on his way to New York, chronicling his experiences on his YouTube channel and Instagram account, both named "Traveling with Ajit." ABC 10 reports that he has already pedaled approximately 1,500 miles, or the equivalent of around 22,000 football fields, on his mission to complete a 5,000-mile trek.

Baral met with Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, who wished the cyclist luck on his future travels.

Where was Johnny Cliche? See Johnny, it’s about determination and resilience. That’s what makes you successful. Johnny would have talked about diversity, equity, and entitlement. It’s about hard work, Johnny.
