WHITE MARSH - Renowned Fallston-based restaurant, The Local, is set to extend its farm-to-table experience with a second location at The Avenue at White Marsh.

The new restaurant, twice the size of the original Harford County location, is expected to open its doors in July. According to the AVENUE, the new restaurant will take the space currently occupied by Wayward Bar & Kitchen and The Curious Oyster.

The Local's expansion plan aligns with its swift rise in popularity. Since its opening in 2021, it quickly gained a reputation for a well-crafted menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, securing the title of "Best Restaurant" from Harford Magazine in the same year.

The Baltimore Sun reports that The Local's White Marsh location will initially occupy the former Wayward Bar & Kitchen premises, with plans to expand into The Curious Oyster's space later in the year, ultimately accommodating up to 300 diners.
