Overnight Upgrade Of Traffic Signal System Planned At White Marsh Intersection, New Turn Lanes To Improve Safety And Access

PERRY HALL - One of the most challenging intersections in the Perry Hall area is set to receive an upgrade. MDOTSHA is set to initiate an updated traffic signal system at the crossroads of MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) and Honeygo Boulevard in White Marsh.

This operation is scheduled to take place during the nighttime hours between Sunday, June 18, and Monday, June 19, 2023.

The advanced traffic signal aims to provide safer traffic flow and accommodate new turn directions at the junction. MDOT projects that the updated signal system and final traffic design will be fully functional by Monday at 5 a.m. provided weather conditions are favorable.

The overnight process will involve crews eliminating barriers and creating new turn lanes.
