Crews Work To Repair Significant Water Main Break In Carney: Roads Closed

CARNEY - Emergency crews are working to repair a significant water main break in Carney that occurred early Monday morning.

The Providence Volunteer Fire Company reported the incident, stating that a 42-inch water main was breached at the intersection of Cromwell Bridge Road and Cowpens Road (21234).

Due to extensive flooding, both of these roads are currently inaccessible and have been closed off to traffic.

Travelers are advised to evade the affected area and prepare for possible traffic congestion during commutes.
