PERRY HALL - An early morning fire in Perry Hall forced the evacuation of several residents from a multi-story apartment building.

According to officials, firefighters responded to the Perry Hall Apartments at the 4000 block of Silver Spring Road (21236) around 7 a.m. on Wednesday for reports of a fire.

According to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, multiple residents were safely evacuated from the apartment complex's balconies during the incident.

No injuries were reported, and sections of Silver Spring Road were temporarily shut down due to the emergency response.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
