Who Will Be The Fan Favorite? Vote Now In Maryland DNR's Annual Photo Contest
MARYLAND - The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has unveiled the winners of its 20th annual Maryland Natural Resource Photo Contest.
The competition was fierce, with over 1,300 photos submitted for consideration. This year's grand prize was awarded to Dallin Johnson from Huntingtown for his captivating image of a gray tree frog.
The grand prize package includes a cash award of $500, a Maryland State Park and Trail Passport, complimentary entry into next year's photo contest, and five copies of the 2023 calendar featuring the winning image on the cover. Alongside the grand prize, the judges also awarded first through third place honors in four seasonal categories—winter, spring, summer, and fall.
The "fan favorite" category is still up for grabs." Residents can vote for their favorite entry by liking and sharing the photo on the department's Facebook page. Voting will remain open through October 2.
The winning photos are available on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website for public viewing.
