BALTIMORE COUNTY - The Y in Central Maryland will debut its third "Y Fresh Mart food pantry" on September 27 at its family center in Parkville.

The new pantry is primed to offer a wide variety of food products to the community, ranging from fresh produce, canned goods, bread, and cereal to meat, rice, and pasta, all available at zero cost.

According to the Y, Fresh Mart food pantries have already supplied over 147,662 meals to families and children in the region this year.

"The Y Fresh Mart is not just for Y members. Our doors are open for everyone in the community, as we aim to reach out to as many individuals and families in need as possible," said John Hoey, President & CEO of the Y in Central Maryland.

Run by dedicated Y volunteers and associates, the Y Fresh Mart in Parkville will be accessible to residents on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The official ribbon-cutting event is set to take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on September 27 at The Y in Parkville, located at 8910 Waltham Woods Rd #2404.
