Gas Prices Drive News Conference In Perry Hall
PERRY HALL, MD — Elected officials are having a news conference on Monday morning in Perry Hall to talk about rising gas prices.
The average gas price in Baltimore County is $4.80, the American Automobile Association (AAA) reported on Monday, June 27.
In early June, the average price of gas in the state was near $5 a gallon, AAA previously reported. More recently, the price has been dropping.
For the week that ended Thursday, Maryland saw an 11-cent drop in the price of gas from the previous week, according to AAA, which reported the Free State experienced the fourth-highest drop in price of gasoline, after Washington, D.C., which was down 15 cents; Florida, which was down 12 cents; and Indiana, which also saw a 12-cent decrease.
U.S. Rep. Andy Harris, Maryland Delegate Kathy Szeliga, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks and other elected officials say they will address the cost of gas in an event at the High's Dairy Store at 9414 Scott Moore Way at the Honeygo Village Center in Perry Hall at 10:30 a.m.
